Happy early 2012

Hey all,
You have all probably heard of 2012, and the big changes it is supposed to bring to life on this planet.
==It's not "Doomsday"==
Many people think that in December 2012, the world is going to end. I can reassure you right now, this is not going to happen. There will not be flaming meteors crashing into the planet, there will not be a nuclear war, and there will not be massive destruction. There was a time when this was a very real option, but thanks to many intuitives around the world in the 1980s, that time is past. You do not have to be afraid. We're here to stay.
That does not mean nothing is going to happen, though.
==The End of an Era==
For a very long time now, the world has been a very dark place. Many are suffering every day while others don't care. Countries are fighting each other, kids grow up in abusive homes. Most of us are enslaved to either our subconscious issues or blindly follow the rules of society. People have very little awareness of the world around them, and barely any access to their natural intuitive gifts.
We are at the end of what Hindu mythology calls the Kali Yuga, the dark Iron Age. We are also at the end of the Mayan Calendar, which according to tradition has been running since the start of the universe. Terrance McKenna's time lines based on the Chinese I-Ching are sketching the same picture. And for the last twenty years at least, intuitives around the world have been talking about new energies coming into the planet. We call this "The Shift."
This means that much is going to change, not only in the world at large, but in everyone's personal life as well. Change needs to happen, if our world is going to move into this new age. If we celebrate this and intentionally change things, this will be easy. If we fight it, life will change things for us, and it will be difficult.
Most people these days think that this Shift is going to happen in December 2012. Others, experts in the ancient traditions such as Carl Calleman, Barbara Hand Clow, and the Mayan Elders themselves, think it will be earlier than that and suggest late 2011.
==We're Starting Early==
For a long time, the 2012 date has not felt right to many of us. It felt like a scare tactic. But when we looked at the 2011 date more closely, we found that wasn't correct, either. After intense and deep intuitive work by the famous empath and meta-intuitive senser Angel, checked by me and intuitively double-checked by many of our students, we are looking at a new date of the end of this Era. While it's tough to be 100% certain what will happen or when, we are confident enough to share what we've sensed.
The date we are looking at is October 8, 2010.
Yes, that soon.
Yes, that is in a few months already.
Attached you can find a chart based on the work of the brilliant Terence McKenna, that shows the amount of novelty or rigid order we can expect to see in the world in the next few years. Adapted by one of the most strongly gifted and extensively trained intuitives alive in the world at this moment, it combines logic with a deep meta-intuitive understanding to show us this picture: We do not have as long as we thought.
Converting these calculations to match the Mayan Calendar, we are just today, June 9th, ending the 4th Day of the last universal cycle. The following prediction emerges:
June 11 - July 1: 4th Night
July 1 - July 21: 5th Day
July 21 - Aug 10: 5th Night
Aug 10 - Aug 30: 6th Day
Aug 30 - Sept 19: 6th Night
Sept 19 - Oct 8: 7th Day
Then, time as we know it will end.
==What You Can Do==
Why does the date matter, you ask? It's happening soon, can't we just sit and wait and see what happens? No. The Shift is much like a child being born. While you are pregnant, you need to watch what you eat and drink, you need to learn about parenting, and you need to make your life ready for a little baby who will be dependent on you to grow up healthy and happy.
If we sit and wait, if we think that nothing is going to happen for at least another one or two years, we completely miss the important Shift. Time matters. Energies matter. For this baby, this new world of ours, to be born and flourish, we need as many people spirituall awake and aware as possible. We need people to start taking off the blindfold they've been wearing all their lives, to look around, find out who they are, why they came here, and what they want to do with their lives. Then, we need for those people to reach out and teach others to do the same.
And we need for all the awake people to hold the energies that we want to see represented in this new Era. You can start this today.
==What Will Happen?==
We do not know. It has not been decided yet. As any parent knows, you cannot predict what a child is going to be like when it grows up. You may be able to tell if it is a girl or a boy, but will it be smart, athletic, popular, gifted, all of the above? Will it like rock music, or horses? Will it want to be a doctor, an astronaut, a teacher, president?
A lot of this is shaped by the child's parents, in the very first years of its life. If you give your child love, if you nurture it, give it some rules and a lot of freedom and understanding, it will grow up to be an amazing adult that you can be proud of. The same goes for our world. We are now very close to an unprecedented moment in our history, the start of a new world the likes of which no human has ever seen before. And we are its parents, you and I.
==Shape your Vision==
Everything we do shapes the world around us. Every action we take, every thought we have, influences our own energy and that of anyone around us. The mystic Richard Bach said:
No matter how qualified or deserving you are,
you will never reach a better life
until you can imagine it for yourself,
and allow yourself to have it.
The same is true for our world. No matter how much we want it, if we can not imagine a better world and allow ourselves to believe in it, we will never reach it.
I encourage each and every one of you who reads this to -- every night, before you to go bed -- spend some time truly imagining the world as you would like to see it. Imagine wildly. If you would like to be able to fly, imagine it. Imagine that everyone on this planet lives in safety, with enough food, with happiness and family who loves them. Imagine a world that is in harmony. Imagine people treating each other with honour, with love, with understanding and a desire to reach out and help.
If you spend a little time every night imagining the best world you can come up with, we will have a much better chance of making that world happen. And yes, of course we could be wrong. But with all my intuitive gifts, I say that we are not. Considering how close we are to the end of the world as we know it, how amazing the upcoming years can be, and how little effort it would take to make it so, I ask you to help us - and yourself - to make this happen.
In closing, I would like to re-iterate the words of the Mayan elder. Don't worry. It'll be ok. We are heading into a new Era, one that has the potential to be more wonderful than anything you've ever seen.

St. Catherine's School for Magical Girls

(Don't get your hopes up too high, it's just for some advertising. And no, my account hasn't been hacked, it's really me who does the advertisement. And I thought this would make a nice last journal entry.)
St. Catherine's School RPG
...is about to take off with a fresh start and looking for fresh players to join the game. St. Catherine's is a magical high school for magical girls from all fandoms. (OCs are accepted as well.) The boarding school is for girls only, so we do expect to see some shoujo-ai blossoming up at our school. It is adviceable to be at least a fan of shoujo-ai when you decide to apply.
We have Slayers, Seers, Witches and Mages running around at the school, and with magic all sorts of things can happen. If you are interested, or if you want to know more about this roleplay, please visit St. Catherine's RPG for all the information you need. I hope we can have a lot of fun together over at the rp.
Applications officially run until the new semester starts, but we gladly accept anyone who joins in the middle of a semester. Students have been known to arrive late and teachers sometimes replace others in the middle of a semester as well!

I hardly check this anymore and if you really want to see what I produce, I advice you to go to lenihanfighter.livejournal.com, where I put up my stories, quizzes and also personal things.
That bit of advice was meant for those who know me longer than several months as well.
Uhm... yeah. Go there and you'll find that I have been active, but just at another site. DA is wonderful when you can draw, but for writers... well... I know I don't like it to read anything</a> with this font type and size and a greenish-grey background. And which is why I prefer LJ really...
So... that's it. I can't promise when you'll hear from me again. It might take another 9 months before I post a journal entry or something like that. Oo

Some original character thingy

I don't know if I'm tagged or not, but I like this thing. ^^ So I did it anyway. Oh, found at Cofie's journal, by the way. And it will be uploaded at my livejournal as well.
But first... I tag everyone who reads this AND has enough original characters to fill the list of twelve characters AND feels like it. It's not an obligation.
So actually, if you feel like doing this as well, write down twelve original characters in a random order and only then proceed to read the rest of this entry.
My list of original characters
Some will have links after the name; this for those curious about who I'm actually talking about.
1. Ralph Ashton (main character of Ralph Ashton: click here for an overview of stories I've written for Ralph Ashton. Ralph is a girl, by the way.)

01) Who would make a better college professor, 6 or 11? What subjects would they teach?
#6 is James Ashton, Ralph's younger half brother. He'd make a nice professor, except that he has absolutely no interest in the whole profession. If he had to become a professor, though, he'd teach history.
#11 is Whitefire (for some better known as Dayenne) and she'd definitely make a good professor, especially biology. She is a ranger and knows a lot about nature and animals. (And she's a prof at St. Cat's of course. XD Archery and Magical Beasts.)
So from the two, Whitefire would definitely be the better one as professor.
02) Do you think 2 is hot? How hot?
Uhm… My number 2 is Liz Riley. Liz is a cute, innocent, sweet girl who always appears to be younger than she actually is in a cute, innocent, sweet way.
…No. Not hot. Cute? Yes. But hot? No.
03) 12 sends 8 on a mission. What is it, and does it succeed?
Akiko is a ninja. And crazy. If she'd give Elvira a mission, it's most likely to kill out her whole family and then herself. Would she succeed? Well unless Akiko can control Elvira's mind… no. Elvira would laugh at it and go away. Besides, Elvira sits in a wheelchair.
04) What is or would be 9's favorite book?
Terence doesn't have much time for reading, but if his father would allow it, he'd like to read some action/adventure book. Or something based on a police series.
05) Would it make more sense for 2 to swear fealty to 6, or the other way around?
Both is possible, though Liz is too sweet to ask James to swear fealty. It is possible, though. They're both from the same story. But I'd sooner see Liz swear fealty to James than the other way around.
06) For some reason, 5 is looking for a roommate. Should she share a studio apartment with 9 or with 10?
Why is it that always those characters who absolutely don't want a roommate are hypothetically speaking looking for a roommate?
But Nashira would choose Terence, because he's more quiet and serious and he's not a demon. Khemon is. And Khemon loves talking, making jokes and more things Nashira absolutely hates.
07) 2, 7 and 12 have dinner together. Where do they go, and what do they discuss?
Knowing Akiko and Vanya, Liz would've been probably the one to suggest to have dinner together. They stay at home where Liz cooks a delicious and extensive dinner for them while Vanya and Akiko do their best not to kill each other. They do not discuss. They both have a strong dislike towards humanity.
08) 3 challenges 10 to a duel. What happens?
Oh, that's a nice one!
Laurian challenging Khemon for a duel. It would be even very well possible, if they were in the same story, since Laurian is well… paladin-like, destroyer of all evil (including demons) and Khemon is a demon.
It would be even interesting. Laurian can invoke holy power, which will hurt Khemon a lot. But Khemon has his own powers, which includes telekinesis and pyrokinesis. He could keep Laurian at an distance easily and Laurian needs several very good magicians to help her to cancel out Khemon's power.
I'd say the results can be anything. A draw, in which both parties withdraw to gain back their strength, Khemon kills Laurian, or Laurian kills Khemon.
09) If 1 stole 8's most precious possession, how would she/he get it back?
Oh yes, typically something for Ralph to do. She's not nice, you know. Though what would Elvira's most precious possession be…? Well, the one thing she can't live without is her wheelchair, but it might be a bit hard to steal that.
I think a necklace, or photograph or something like that. Lover, maybe… In the first case, Elvira either has to do certain things before she gets it back or steal it back. In the last case, with the lover… well, flirt back. Oo Try to win his/her heart back.
10) Suggest a title for a story in which 7 and 12 both attain what they most desire.
What is it with Akiko and Vanya together…? O_o
"Kill me if you want it" (<-- title)
11) What kind of plot device would you use if you wanted 4 and 1 to work together?
Ralph Ashton and old Donald McGaffen working together… I'd say Ralph accidentally runs into the Lenihan Order and Laurian (yes, number 3, it's the same story as where Donald McGaffen is in) would give her the choice to die or work there. And then follow McGaffen around while he teaches her the finer points of sword fighting and other stuff about fighting. That's how they'd work together then.
12) If 7 visited you for the weekend, how would you get along?
Not at all. I'd feel probably uneasy and Vanya would probably not really like the idea of visiting me, so… We wouldn't really enjoy ourselves.;
13) If you could command 3 to perform any one task or service for you, what would it be?
Me? O_o Command Laurian around? … Well…; I do like her… *and leaves the rest up to the imagination of the reader XD*
And I want her sword!
14) Does anyone on your friends list write or draw 11?
Whitefire? Not that I know… It could be, but I can't remember placing an order to draw Whitefire at my friend.
She did draw Liz, though. And Laurian. So number 2 and 3. XD And she'll be drawing… a lot of other characters. … Just not Whitefire. O_o
15) If 2 had to choose sides between 4 and 5, which would it be?
She'd try to make peace between them, because really… Liz choosing sides? Impossible. Donald McGaffen is this nice, old, grandfather-like guy, who Liz will like a lot. But she'll like Nashira as well. … She likes almost everyone. ._. Though I think she'd sooner choose for Donald than Nashira, because Nashira doesn't really act nice or friendly and Donald does.
16) What might 10 shout while charging into battle?
Something in Xialith, which is his own language. Or just a loud demon-like roar.
17) If you chose a song to represent 8, which song would you choose?
So Young by The Corrs. I can't find another song to suit Elvira.
18) 1, 6, and 12 are having dim sum at a Chinese restaurant. There is only one scallion pancake left, and they all reach for it at the same time. Who gets to eat it?
Well, James is a slowpoke. So he won't get it in time.
Ralph and Akiko, on the other hand, are both trained fighters. But since Akiko is a ninja and has been training in the art of ninjutsu for 20 years, she'd be probably faster than Ralph and gets the scallion pancake.
If she doesn't want it, Ralph and James will end up in a sweet sibling-fight about who gets the last scallion pancake.
19) What might be a good pick-up line for 2 to use on 10?
Excuse me for laughing several minutes, but Liz and a pick-up line…? XDDD
She'd probably ask Khemon if she could help him with anything and then glue herself to him. Especially if he helps her to get rid of her father. (Nice pick-up line. Oo "Please, sir! My brother is in danger! Please help me! .___. My father wants to kill him…")
20) What would 5 most likely be arrested for?
Murder. She's something like a mercenary/assassin/adventurer. She does some occasional killing.
Or driving too fast. XD
21) What is 6's secret?
He can't tell.
James' secret would be that he has a half-sister, called Ralph?
22) If 11 and 9 were racing to a destination, who would get there first?
Whitefire. She has a better condition than Terence. XD
23) If you had to walk home through a bad neighborhood late at night, would you feel safer in the company of 7 or 8?
I'd prefer the company of 7, so Vanya, because what kind of protection can a girl in a wheelchair offer you?
… Though I don't know… I think in that situation, I should be more afraid of Vanya than the bad neighbourhood. XD (And don't mind my British-English spelling)
24) 1 and 9 reluctantly team up to save the world from the threat posed by 4's sinister secret organization. 11 volunteers to help them, but it is later discovered that he/she is actually a spy for 4. Meanwhile, 4 has kidnapped 12 in an attempt to force their surrender. Following the wise advice of 5, they seek out 3 , who gives them what they need to complete their quest.
-What title would you give this fic?
So… Ralph and Terence reluctantly team up, which is kind of possible, since Ralph loves Liz and Liz loves her as well, of course, but… she loves her brother Terence as well. And that makes Ralph jealous. So they form a team, but against their will.
…To save the world from the threat posed by Donald McGaffen. I think the threat will be something with a huge grey field at which there is no right or wrong. Oo Because I can't see him being evil. And neither is Whitefire, the helpful volunteer/spy.

#6 is James Ashton, Ralph's younger half brother. He'd make a nice professor, except that he has absolutely no interest in the whole profession. If he had to become a professor, though, he'd teach history.
#11 is Whitefire (for some better known as Dayenne) and she'd definitely make a good professor, especially biology. She is a ranger and knows a lot about nature and animals. (And she's a prof at St. Cat's of course. XD Archery and Magical Beasts.)
So from the two, Whitefire would definitely be the better one as professor.
02) Do you think 2 is hot? How hot?
Uhm… My number 2 is Liz Riley. Liz is a cute, innocent, sweet girl who always appears to be younger than she actually is in a cute, innocent, sweet way.
…No. Not hot. Cute? Yes. But hot? No.
03) 12 sends 8 on a mission. What is it, and does it succeed?
Akiko is a ninja. And crazy. If she'd give Elvira a mission, it's most likely to kill out her whole family and then herself. Would she succeed? Well unless Akiko can control Elvira's mind… no. Elvira would laugh at it and go away. Besides, Elvira sits in a wheelchair.
04) What is or would be 9's favorite book?
Terence doesn't have much time for reading, but if his father would allow it, he'd like to read some action/adventure book. Or something based on a police series.
05) Would it make more sense for 2 to swear fealty to 6, or the other way around?
Both is possible, though Liz is too sweet to ask James to swear fealty. It is possible, though. They're both from the same story. But I'd sooner see Liz swear fealty to James than the other way around.
06) For some reason, 5 is looking for a roommate. Should she share a studio apartment with 9 or with 10?
Why is it that always those characters who absolutely don't want a roommate are hypothetically speaking looking for a roommate?
But Nashira would choose Terence, because he's more quiet and serious and he's not a demon. Khemon is. And Khemon loves talking, making jokes and more things Nashira absolutely hates.
07) 2, 7 and 12 have dinner together. Where do they go, and what do they discuss?
Knowing Akiko and Vanya, Liz would've been probably the one to suggest to have dinner together. They stay at home where Liz cooks a delicious and extensive dinner for them while Vanya and Akiko do their best not to kill each other. They do not discuss. They both have a strong dislike towards humanity.
08) 3 challenges 10 to a duel. What happens?
Oh, that's a nice one!
Laurian challenging Khemon for a duel. It would be even very well possible, if they were in the same story, since Laurian is well… paladin-like, destroyer of all evil (including demons) and Khemon is a demon. It would be even interesting. Laurian can invoke holy power, which will hurt Khemon a lot. But Khemon has his own powers, which includes telekinesis and pyrokinesis. He could keep Laurian at an distance easily and Laurian needs several very good magicians to help her to cancel out Khemon's power.
I'd say the results can be anything. A draw, in which both parties withdraw to gain back their strength, Khemon kills Laurian, or Laurian kills Khemon.
09) If 1 stole 8's most precious possession, how would she/he get it back?
Oh yes, typically something for Ralph to do. She's not nice, you know. Though what would Elvira's most precious possession be…? Well, the one thing she can't live without is her wheelchair, but it might be a bit hard to steal that.
I think a necklace, or photograph or something like that. Lover, maybe… In the first case, Elvira either has to do certain things before she gets it back or steal it back. In the last case, with the lover… well, flirt back. Oo Try to win his/her heart back.
10) Suggest a title for a story in which 7 and 12 both attain what they most desire.
What is it with Akiko and Vanya together…? O_o

11) What kind of plot device would you use if you wanted 4 and 1 to work together?
Ralph Ashton and old Donald McGaffen working together… I'd say Ralph accidentally runs into the Lenihan Order and Laurian (yes, number 3, it's the same story as where Donald McGaffen is in) would give her the choice to die or work there. And then follow McGaffen around while he teaches her the finer points of sword fighting and other stuff about fighting. That's how they'd work together then.
12) If 7 visited you for the weekend, how would you get along?
Not at all. I'd feel probably uneasy and Vanya would probably not really like the idea of visiting me, so… We wouldn't really enjoy ourselves.

Me? O_o Command Laurian around? … Well…

Whitefire? Not that I know… It could be, but I can't remember placing an order to draw Whitefire at my friend.
She did draw Liz, though. And Laurian. So number 2 and 3. XD And she'll be drawing… a lot of other characters. … Just not Whitefire. O_o
15) If 2 had to choose sides between 4 and 5, which would it be?
She'd try to make peace between them, because really… Liz choosing sides? Impossible. Donald McGaffen is this nice, old, grandfather-like guy, who Liz will like a lot. But she'll like Nashira as well. … She likes almost everyone. ._. Though I think she'd sooner choose for Donald than Nashira, because Nashira doesn't really act nice or friendly and Donald does.
16) What might 10 shout while charging into battle?
Something in Xialith, which is his own language. Or just a loud demon-like roar.
17) If you chose a song to represent 8, which song would you choose?
So Young by The Corrs. I can't find another song to suit Elvira.
18) 1, 6, and 12 are having dim sum at a Chinese restaurant. There is only one scallion pancake left, and they all reach for it at the same time. Who gets to eat it?
Well, James is a slowpoke. So he won't get it in time.
Ralph and Akiko, on the other hand, are both trained fighters. But since Akiko is a ninja and has been training in the art of ninjutsu for 20 years, she'd be probably faster than Ralph and gets the scallion pancake.
If she doesn't want it, Ralph and James will end up in a sweet sibling-fight about who gets the last scallion pancake.
19) What might be a good pick-up line for 2 to use on 10?
Excuse me for laughing several minutes, but Liz and a pick-up line…? XDDD
She'd probably ask Khemon if she could help him with anything and then glue herself to him. Especially if he helps her to get rid of her father. (Nice pick-up line. Oo "Please, sir! My brother is in danger! Please help me! .___. My father wants to kill him…")

Murder. She's something like a mercenary/assassin/adventurer. She does some occasional killing.

I'd prefer the company of 7, so Vanya, because what kind of protection can a girl in a wheelchair offer you?

Home sweet home (and a happy new year)

Finally back home. I spent the last week at my parents' place, and although it's very nice to be back with my parents, I'm really glad to be back. I mean... it might sound odd, but I really feel as if I'm only visiting my parents. I do still the same things as usual, but... I don't know. It's not home anymore. It's not my home anymore. When I was younger, I used to visit my grandparents. This is almost the same, only without all the benefits I had when I was with my grandparents.
Of course I managed to get sick between Christmas and New Year. I am really happy I was at home then. XD; Even if it's just everything is on the same floor now, so no more walking stairs. Which is very useful when you need to go to the toilet in a hurry. ^^
Bad thing is that my parents went to drop off my belongings and other things in my room in Maastricht and I couldn't join them.
I had to stay at home, on bed. And now I have to face the mess in my room. Oh well. It gives me something to do.
Now, for I forget it...

Which is in my case pass at least one Maths exam. And get through this year. That would be great. For the rest... *shrugs* Finish some stories, but I promise that every year and I never really do it.
